James is the founder of user experience design firm Forty, a creative firm that’s been designing rich, emotional, and effective experiences for over a decade. Over the years he has worked for clients like Microsoft, Motorola, Walmart, and Yahoo, and on projects that have appeared in U.S. News & World Report, Fast Company, Businessweek, Entrepreneur, New York Times, AdAge, NPR, and others.
In 2014, Forty was acquired by digital services firm Crowd Favorite, and James now serves as Crowd Favorite’s Chief Creative Officer, overseeing design, content strategy, branding, and marketing.
James is married to podcaster Katie Archer. Her show, Doing Business as Family, is about taking lessons learned in the business world and applying them in the home. James and Katie have two boys.
